The 21st anniversary celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day
National Cancer Survivors Day is held annually in hundreds of communities throughout the world on the first Sunday in June. It is a symbolic event to demonstrate that life after a cancer diagnosis can be a reality.

June 10 to 21, 2008 - Sacramento
Art Bra Show
Women’s Wisdom Project and the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation have joined forces for the Art Bra Show to help bring more awareness to the need for breast health education and screening within breast cancer treatment programs. Sacramento Area artists have been invited to participate and create a special piece of art to be displayed June 10-21, 2008 at 919 20th Street. Using the bra as a symbol, artists have been sculpting, painting, stitching, and embellishing. Over 70 artists are contributing their work for this event.

Climb Against the Odds
Climb Against the Odds~Mt. Shasta, the Breast Cancer Fund’s eighth expedition, will take place June 15 - 21, 2008. This journey will be both a collective effort to prevent breast cancer and a personal challenge to beat the disease. Experience the climb of your life! Ride to Empower
Breast Cancer Network of Strength (formerly known as Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization) introduces the Ride to Empower! The Ride to Empower is a destination bike ride, with fully-supported route lengths ranging from a 100-mile century to less than 32 miles. The Ride will take place during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Solvang, Calif., October 23-26, 2008, with the 1-day ride on October 25.
